Our Little Valentine

Lexi turned 4months old on Valentine's Day!

Here are her 4 month pics:

She looks so little here

Here are her stats:

length: 24 1/4inches
weight: 12 pounds 3.8 ounces
clothing size: 3 months
diaper size: can fit in a size 1 but size 2 is better, especially for night time.
likes: "talking", smiling, squealing, drooling, being held, eating her fists, nursing, going for walks, looking at lights, taking a bath, playing under her jungle gym, sitting in her Bumbo, standing (while holding hands), watching tv, playing in her Jumperoo, and swinging in her swing
dislikes: wet diapers, being hungry, tummy time, shots, and the dark

eating: still nursing or formula (4oz) every 2-3hrs during the day
nap: lately it has been little 1hr cat naps here & there.  Sometimes she'll get a good 3.5hr nap in.
sleeping: Through the night!!!  ...from 7/8/9pm-7am (it all depends on her naps).
new tricks: squealing, a low pitched groaning sound, v-ups (where she lies on her back, bringing her legs & head up and then straightens back out again), rolling to the side, but not all the way over, smiling at strangers, grabbing things with 2hands, pulling hair, becoming very vocal, and loves looking at herself in the mirror!

Today, she had her 4 month doctor's appointment with the 2nd round of shots and this is pretty much how it went...

Happy baby just checking herself out in the mirror:

Then the nurse came in and measured her length, head circumference, and weighed her...
She was weighed with the diaper off though

Next, Dr. Drake came in and went over the measurements and answered all my questions...

1) Yes, all her drooling is normal.  She's getting ready to teethe.

2) Her low weight is nothing to be concerned about.  She is continuously showing growth and her body is proportional.  She's just petite.

3) Don't start on Rice Cereal.  She's getting enough nutrition from breast milk and formula.  It's only recommended for children who are 13lbs or larger, OR who are drinking 6-8oz at every feeding and need more to fill them up.

4) She doesn't have to be pushing up on her hands yet or rolling over...don't worry, she'll be doing it in no time.

After that the nurse came back in and administered the vaccines (2 were shots and one was oral) :(

Poor baby, look at the band aids on her legs :(
She only cried for about a minute and then was done and ready to go home...
Gotta love "the lip"!

And just like last time, the ending was the same...
Night-night Love Bug.

STEP of the Week

Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner!

Miss Lexi's picture was chosen as the Stride Rite cute kid of the week yesterday!  On Stride Rite's Facebook page a couple days ago they asked everyone to post pictures of their little Valentine, so I posted this...

When I logged on to Facebook yesterday, I saw this...

"We want to congratulate Katrina Henderson for winning our Fabulous Firsts video contest! You can view her video by clicking the link! We'd also like to congratulate Jaime Soria and her daughter Lexi Paige for being this week's Little S.T.E.P of the Week!"

Ahhh, how cool is that?!  So for the next week, Miss Lexi is Stride Rite's profile picture!  Yeah, go Lexi!  You make mommy so proud :)

Dating Already?

Since the last post not a whole lot has gone on, but Lexi has spent time with 2 little studs ;)

The first one is RJ, Rudy & Bryanna's son, who is 3weeks older than Lexi...
Look at that smile!  Lexi 3mo 1wk

Is RJ holding her hand?  You go little man!

And the second one is Luke, Ami's son, who was born the day after Lexi...(Ami & I taught together at North Tamarind Elementary)
He's so cute with his little Hurley shirt!!! (both 3.5months)

Is that Lexi putting the moves on him? :)

Poor guy.  All he wanted was a nap, not pictures.

On to the other men in her life...
I love Daddy so so much!  (3mo 1day)
Just hanging out with Grandpa (3mo 1wk)

Edson loves it when Lexi falls asleep in his arms
