It's a (Play) Date!

Last Thursday (5/19/11) Bryanna & her son RJ came over for a play date!  We made Cake Pops for the first time while the little ones played and had such a good time!  We love having them over!

RJ brought his walker for Lexi to try out.

At first she just stood there for a minute but then got the hang of it and was moving around in no time.

Look, he's holding her hand, he-he!

It's not that exciting of a video, but you get the idea, lol!

Just for comparison, here they are are at 7mo (Lexi) and 8mo (RJ) and below they were 4months younger...boy do they grow fast!

I forgot Bryanna & RJ had come over the week before too and we went swimming.  I didn't take any pictures, but I did get a cute video of them "talking" before we left for the pool...so cute!

Cake Pops!
They were so yummy!!!  Marble cake (baked & crumbled up) mixed with dark chocolate frosting we had added mint flavoring to, and then rolled in balls, stuck on a stick, and dipped in white melting chocolate!

If you'd like to try them yourself, here's the link: http://www.bakerella.com/hope-these-put-a-smile-on-your-face/
She makes tons of adorable different ones and even has 2 books for sale at Amazon, Borders, Barnes & Noble, and Williams Sonoma!

7 Months Old!

Didn't she just turn 6 months?  Where has the past month gone?  Our baby's growing too fast!

It's getting harder to take these pics because all she wants to do is play with the bear, lol!

Her new funny smile
Top teeth!

Growing feet!

Poor baby's skin is so sensitive!  The wind made her cheeks all chapped today :(
Such a happy girl!
Other cute pics...

Look, I straighten my arms...
...and push up on my hands & knees!
I also still love my feet!
Mommy LOVES this little ruffle butt :)
...and these little legs!
New highchair!!!
One of Mommy's favorite outfits
I LOVE this face!

Here are her stats:

length: 27inches
weight: 16 pounds 4 ounces
clothing size: 6 months
diaper size: size 3
new likes:rolling around and getting up on her hands & knees and does well with going to Kids Club at the gym
dislikes: taking naps
eating: she eats 1/4cup of rice cereal mixed with 3oz of breast milk for breakfast followed by a little fruit, 3oz of baby food veggies with a little fruit for lunch, and 3oz veggies & 3oz fruit for dinner.  She also breast feeds first thing in the morning, once in the afternoon, and uses me as a pacifier to fall asleep at night (she's usually out after 5mins).
nap: a big one in the morning around 11am (2-3hrs) and a 1hr one in the evening around 6.
sleeping: From 9/9:30pm-7:30am (Except a couple times when she slept until 8am!)
new tricks: Same tricks but with greater strength...rolls over with a purpose, sits up tall with no problem, sits in a highchair and in the stroller without the car seat, scoots on her back, rocks on her hands & knees, laughs (only for Daddy), grabs for toys and makes them work, claps, brings everything to her mouth, and now that this post is so late, she has begun pulling herself up on things (7.5months).

My 1st Mother's Day

I had such a fabulous Mother's Day weekend!  Friday, May 6th Edson & Lexi took me to dinner at Citrus City Grille.  It was so delicious and Lexi was as happy as could be, which made for a wonderful dinner.  She's really enjoying her new found freedom of sitting in a restaurant highchair rather than in her car seat...and we're enjoying it too! :)

Dolce & Lexi (almost 7mo)

Sunday, May 8th we went to The Grove & walked around a bit while we waited for Uncle Jay to get off work.  Then we went to Jay & Pam's for a Mother's Day dinner!  We had such a good time.  Thank you Jay & Pam, and Happy Mother's Day Nani & Lina!!!!

COUSIN KISSES!
Then Monday & Tuesday, May 9th & 10th, Lexi and I went to Carlsbad to celebrate Mother's Day with Mom & Jess.  We also got to go to Jessie's final wedding dress fitting (boy is she a stunning bride!).  I'm so lucky to have been able to celebrate with everyone.

To my mom, thank you for always being such a wonderful role model & support system.  I love you more than words could ever describe.  You mean the world to me.  HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

To Edson, thank you for making my 1st Mother's Day so special and memorable.  I love you so much and am so happy to call you my husband.

To Lexi, you are my dream come true.  You're everything I ever hoped for and I am so proud to be your mommy.  XOXO

Today's Walk

Today's walk down Riverwalk Parkway included watching mama ducks & their ducklings, getting a skinny vanilla late from Starbucks, and stopping for a mini photo session of my little love bug.

Happy Mother's Day Mama ducks!
